A company based in Derby are looking for a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will play an integral role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will involve working closely alongside other areas of the business to ensure cost effective buying, suitably timed for production/customer orders.
Duties include:
- Knowledge of import laws and regulations
- Dealing with suppliers and supply chain in the UK and overseas
- Negotiating prices
- Run MRP for stocked parts
- Expedite orders to ensure all goods arrive by wanted date
- Schedule orders and materials based on stock and allocations.
- Maintain supply price lists
- Action Non-Stocked Requisitions
- Highlight cost saving opportunities
