Bluefin are looking for a Purchasing Manager with experience in of working in the Manufacturing sector.
This position will involve negotiating with suppliers at all levels to maintain ongoing cost savings without compromising quality.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential to ensure credibility when discussing cost savings within the supply chain. You must have the ability to work from your own initiative and be able to prioritise the workload within a pressured environment.
Working closely with the Engineering department to source a variety of materials and parts, a technical background is advantageous to understand the requirements of our products.
We design the products specific to our customer requirements, we specialise in bespoke solutions.
Reports directly into the Managing Director with overall responsibility for negotiating any service contracts required throughout the business.
Good communication skills are essential as the role will involve liasing directly with suppliers and staff at all levels. Responsible for managing a small team of Procurement Officers (2) you will ideally have management or supervisory experience.
You will have a minimum of five years experience within purchasing and a recognised purchasing accreditation, CIPS would be preferable but is not essential. Internal training of the In-House MRP system (Job Shop) will be provided.
A Full Driving Licence is essential. Some overseas travel will be required but not on a regular basis.
